CONFESSION

Confession (Sacrament of Repentance) is a Sacrament of the Orthodox Church, in which one who sincerely confesses his sins, with a visible expression of forgiveness from the priest, is invisibly absolved from sins by God Himself.

COMMUNION

 Communion (Greek κοινωνία (kinonia) - communion; μετάληψις - acceptance) (Eucharist - from Greek Εὐχαριστία (eucharistia) - thanksgiving) - a Sacrament in which bread and wine are transformed into the true Body and true blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, after which believers consume them for the remission of sins and Eternal Life.

BAPTISM

 If you would like to get married or baptized in our church or want to baptize your child, then before such an important event in your life, please plan in advance to visit the church and talk with the priest in person. This will be especially important for those who are not regular parishioners of our parish. The best time for this conversation would be after our regular worship services, which occur on Saturdays at 5 pm and Sundays at 9:30 am. You can find some of the answers to your questions in our Frequently Asked Questions section.

WEDDINGS

 If you would like to get married in our church, then, please plan to visit the church in advance and talk with the Priest in person. Some standard things you will need for the wedding are the following: a wedding pair of icons - the Savior and the Mother of God; wedding candles - sold in the Church Shop; a towel (wedding towel) - plain, white (for laying under your feet), long enough for two people to stand on; wedding rings.

Anointing of myrrh is a sacrament in which a believer is given special gifts of the Holy Spirit to strengthen him in his spiritual life and on his Christian path when he is anointed with sanctified myrrh.

Unction, is an ecclesiastical sacrament performed over a sick person by a council of priests (in extreme cases — by one priest), consisting in calling upon the sick person, through prayers and anointing him with consecrated oil, healing, cleansing grace, healing physical and spiritual infirmities.
